EPL is committed to fostering a professional, respectful, and constructive environment for all individuals involved in the publication process, including authors, reviewers, editors, and staff. We expect all interactions—whether in written correspondence, peer review discussions, or appeals—to be conducted with professionalism and courtesy.
We understand that authors may be disappointed with editorial decisions. In this case concerns should be raised through the appropriate channels. Please refer to our Appeals Procedure at: https://www.epletters.net/editorial-procedure/.
EPL will not tolerate abusive or otherwise inappropriate behavior. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Repeated or excessive complaints beyond the scope of standard editorial queries.
- Aggressive, threatening, or disrespectful communication directed at staff, editors, referees, or institutions affiliated with the journal.
- Attempts to pressure or circumvent the editorial process, including excessive or persistent complaints through inappropriate channels (e.g., social media campaigns, contacting individuals not formally involved in the process).
- Personal attacks, harassment, or discrimination in any form.
EPL reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to breaches of this policy, including ceasing communication and, in severe cases, temporarily restricting the consideration of new submissions from the individuals involved.
Our goal is to ensure a fair, transparent, and respectful process for all contributors to the journal.
